چکیده

Timeliness is a critical aspect of real-time systems since both functional and temporal properties must be guaranteed to ensure correct system behaviour. This requirement is safeguarded in the real-time research community by means of Worst-Case Execution Time (WCET) analysis. Conventionally, a static approach to this problem has been aggrandised because safe results ensue. However, the face of embedded systems is continually changing as a result of technical innovation and a prosperous electronic consumer market: the time has arrived for accurate WCET analysis.
